Description

Integrated Motor Curriculum Program  (IMCP)

The Integrated motor program curriculum is a program of motor activities integrated into curriculum via regular collaboration between Occupational Therapist and classroom staff. 

Documentation provided weekly, monthly activity sheets provided, completed forms provided to Local Education Agency (LEA)

 Staff participation is mandatory for all classroom staff.

Consultation

 

 

All students who have direct service should also have a level of consultation on their IEP. 

Consultation time includes all time outside of direct service to the student, required by the occupational therapist to support the students’ educational program. There are no specific Occupational Therapy Goals, this service supports academic goals.

 With the exceptions,  this generally  includes but is not limited to discussions with IEP team members and/or Administrators,  relative to academic participation, direct or indirect contact (phone, written note or email), adjustment of daily support activities, preparation for and attendance of IEP or other meetings related to the students progress

Level of Service

Description

Direct

Direct service is a service, which involves direct contact with the therapist.   

This includes any type of specialized instruction, working directly with the pupil, individually or in a group/small group such as IMCP.   With or without the presence and participation of teacher/staff member, instructional aide or parent.   

Addresses IEP Goals.

 Will also have consultation service in addition to Direct.

Individual

Individual Service is direct time with a therapist 1:1.  Generally in an isolated environment rather than Least Restrictive Environment (LRE)

 Will also have consultation service in addition to Direct.
