This information pertains solely to our practice at Pediatric Building Blocks. 

Pediatric Building Blocks has a staff of highly experienced and trained therapists covering a variety of modalities and specialties to serve the needs of children in the East Bay area, across the bay from San Francisco, California. Pediatric therapists use many methods during therapy, including but not limited to:

  • Sensory Integration

Therapies that alternately stimulate and calm the sensory systems of the body.

  • Sensory Integration Intensive Program

A concentrated,  short duration of therapy two hours sessions for five days.

Mild neurological stimulation of the limbs to assist with sensory organization.

Techniques for enhancement and integration of Motor, Oral and Postural functions.

                The Alert System for self-regulation.

A hands-on technique that identifies fascial restrictions and releases them using gentle

stretching and touch.

A gentle non-invasive technique of the Craniosacral system (brain and spine)

A noninvasive technique using muscle testing and touch therapy to access the processing and corrective functions of the brain.

Stimulation of targeted neurological functions through music and sound delivered via CD’s and headphones.

A noninvasive massage technique of the oral structures.

 

Pediatric Building Blocks is a Non Public Agency (NPA) and provides therapy services to schools.  However many services mentioned above are not appropriate for school based therapy and  are provided exclusively on a private basis and are not provided through, or paid for by, a school district.
